My FAQS

  • If you are local to Hebden Bridge/Todmorden/Haworth/Keighley I can recommend some gorgeous locations in the great outdoors - some will have a small walk to get to, we will factor this in before the shoot and make the most of getting to know one another! Maybe you have a location that is meaningful to you, if so let us go there. Maybe you have an idea of a setting you want, we can work together and find the perfect place! Having a photo shoot in your home is a wonderful option too.

  • I usually love to shoot in golden hours, the magic is in the sky, golden light is gently caressing your shoulders - that is the light I love and want to work with the most! We can get a similar effect early morning too. It can feel tricky to keep your kids up later than normal or get them up earlier but this is an opportunity not to be missed, make it special, have an adventure together, just for once go against routine and enjoy sun or sunrise set together. If you can’t manage early or late - fear not - we can figure it out together!

  • Me too - I understand that 100% I even made sure I had a few photoshoots done with photographers (breastfeeding shoot and family shoot) so i knew how it felt! Im there with you, and what you feel I’ve felt. My advice, you will get over the nervousness and enjoy it. Remember its only 60 mins and its your chance to show off you and your family/partner/baby/bump! Take this opportunity to go for it! Have a read of my reviews form other clients, alot were nervous but felt at ease very quickly.

  • Snacks for littles and you if you get hangry! Avoid bright, staining foods, chocolate is a good oick me up but doesnt look great stained on jumpers or smudged across faces! Crackers and marshmallows and quick easy snacks can be perfect, just alittle pick me up enough! Don’t over pack, as if we go for a walk it gets tricky carrying multiple bags and shooting! Ideally bring a rucksack that I can wear and carry for you and leave everything else in the car! If you hace any toys or props you find sentimental or wnat to use please bring them or discuss with me before hand if your unsure.

  • Put on something that makes you feel special, that gives you that feeling of confidence. Dress in something that represents you for you - theses are pictures that will hopeful sit on your wall and express who you are so be you, just be you in your best outfit! Authenticity always wins! If you want to get changed during a shoot - go for it! I have dresses you can wear if your stuck or just want something different! If you want your picts to look astheticly pleasing we can curate a cloour scheme together and I can guide you. Hair down is always my favourite go to, it provides movement and can look beautiful in breeze, but it it doesnt have to be styled - just be you and you will be beautiful!

  • Item descriptions have worked in outdoor and primary education since my twenties and have two kids, I don’t expect kids to behave. Don’t sweat it. Let them bring their energies and authenticity to the shoot, I’ll capture it and you can look back in years to come and marvel at how wonderful a job you did in raising them!

  • What rain in England?! I love dry sunny days but its just not always gonna be the case, drizzle can be beautiful and look ever so moody and magic so we would go for it , full on rian not so much and we will rheshcdule! I always eep and eye on the weather and will let you knw how things are looking. If you want a super sunny golden hour shoot, we can discuss this and plan accordingly!
